Resort Policies and Member Guidelines.
Member Access
To enhance the member experience and maintain the exclusivity of Lake Y, a new QR-code entry system will be introduced from 8th June.
As a private members' resort, access to Lake Y is reserved for members and authorised guests. The new system will provide a smoother and more secure arrival experience while helping us ensure that our facilities remain available for those who support and enjoy the resort.
Members will be able to access the resort using a unique QR code within the Lake Y app.
Children & Junior Memberships
Lake Y is designed primarily as a wellbeing, recreation and relaxation destination. To help maintain the atmosphere that our members value, the following family access policy applies:
· Junior Memberships are available from age 12.
· Guests aged 12–16 may participate in activities when accompanied by a responsible adult.
· For water-based activities, all guests aged 12–16 must complete a brief safety assessment before entering the lake.
· Children under 12 are welcome on site until 5:00pm on weekdays and until 12:00pm on weekends.
· The beach, lake and resort facilities are designed for recreation and wellbeing and are not intended to operate as children's play areas.
We appreciate the support of families in helping us maintain a welcoming environment for all members.
Photography & Social Media Policy
At Lake Y, we love seeing members capture and share their experiences. Whether it's an early morning swim, a lakeside coffee, a wellness session or time spent with friends, your photos help showcase the unique atmosphere that makes our community special.
As a private members' resort, we ask all members and guests to be considerate of others when taking photographs or filming on site.
Respecting Privacy
Many members visit Lake Y to relax, exercise, recharge and enjoy time away from the public eye. When taking photographs or videos, please ensure that other members and guests are not clearly identifiable without their consent.
Extra care should be taken in areas where privacy expectations are higher, including:
· Open water swimming areas
· Sauna and wellness facilities
· Fitness and training spaces
· Changing rooms and washrooms (photography and filming are strictly prohibited)
Photography Guidelines
We encourage photography that focuses on:
· Your own experience
· Friends and family who have consented to be included
· The lake, landscape and facilities
· Activities, events and experiences
Please avoid:
· Photographing or filming individuals without their permission
· Recording fitness sessions where other members are visible
· Taking close-up images of people you do not know
· Operating drones without prior written approval from Lake Y management
Social Media Sharing
We welcome members sharing their Lake Y experience on social media and tagging Lake Y where appropriate.
Before posting content online, please ensure that any identifiable individuals featured in photographs or videos have given their consent to be included.
Staff Authority
To protect the comfort, privacy and safety of all members, Lake Y staff reserve the right to request that photography or filming ceases, or that content is removed where necessary.
Repeated breaches of this policy may result in restrictions on photography privileges and, in serious cases, a review of membership status.
Preserving the Lake Y Experience
Lake Y is built on wellbeing, community and mutual respect. By being thoughtful when taking and sharing photographs, you help preserve the welcoming, private and relaxed environment that makes the resort special for everyone.
Thank you for helping us protect the Lake Y experience.
