We were delighted to welcome representatives from Visit Doncaster this morning for a firsthand look at the transformation underway in Auckley. Steve, our Chief Operating Officer shared our insights with them into the remarkable progress made so far — and the exciting developments still to come.
From the moment of arrival, the team from Visit Doncaster was impressed by the lake’s stunning natural beauty, enhanced by thoughtful design and a clear vision for the future. Already a picturesque centrepiece complete with its own beach, we are poised to become a premier destination for wellness, outdoor recreation, and relaxation in Doncaster.
During the visit, Steve detailed the upcoming additions, including a 1km running track, a café, luxury lodges, caravan pitches, and purpose-built yoga and Pilates studios. Plans are also in place to open the lake for swimming, adding yet another dimension to the site’s growing appeal.
With a focus on quality, community, and well-being, we are quickly becoming one of South Yorkshire’s most exciting lifestyle destinations. As Visit Doncaster put it, “We can’t wait to see it all come to life.”
